Cascade CDO-5 Benchtop Dry & Decarb Oven
This powerful benchtop forced-air laboratory oven uses heated air to remove unwanted compounds from products that are not temperature-sensitive.
Our ovens feature horizontal airflow that enables more consistent distribution of air. They are designed to have uniform temperatures and airflow across the shelf space from right to left.
The CDO-5 has a capacity of 5 cubic feet and includes a built-in humidity sensor and fine micron mesh bags for drying or decarboxylating powders or ground material.
Forced-air lab ovens are widely available from many large-scale laboratory equipment distributors. However, stands out from other, less costly, imported lab ovens due to several key features:
Independent Overtemp Failsafe Protection
The CDO-5 comes equipped with a heating cutoff system that automatically stops power to the heaters if the overtemp setting is tripped. This protection system provides peace of mind for overnight or unattended drying processes.
The CDO-5 is particularly useful for R&D, laboratory-scale forced-air convection drying, decarboxylation processes, drying organic materials, and drying lab glassware. It’s important to note that drier material yields better results than processing wet material, and removing as much moisture as possible before processing will save time in the post-process vacuum purge and winterization.
CDO-5 is purpose-built for bench-top, R&D drying and decarboxylation of material with additional features:
