The idea behind these devices is simple:
Place them in a solution inside glassware, and place the glassware on top of a Magnetic Stirring Hotplate (or similar).
The magnetic forces will cause these stir bars to rotate (depending on the speed set by the hotplate), which will in turn automatically stir and mix the mixture in a safe and efficient manner.
